Mauli Alofa Network

What is our Mauli Alofa Network?
Our Mauli Alofa Network envelopes youth & young adults in a cultural network rooted in love and joy that maintains and restores their relationship to family, village, land, water, language & culture. We are a queer & trans inclusive network of support committed to the wholistic healing and liberation of all our kin. We are also a safety net for our kin that have been impacted by youth and adult carceral systems. We practice Oceanian cultural protocols that reinforce belonging, loving relationships and life transitions.

Oceania Youth Collective
Our Oceania Youth Collective was formed to create a cultural space of belonging for Pacific Islander youth who attend high schools and middle schools. OYC fosters cultural belonging, support youth mental health, invest in cultural arts, and create opportunities for our youth to transition successfully into educational and vocational pathways after graduation.

Kalapu Mauli Alofa
Kalapu Mauli Alofa is a queer, two-spirit, fa’afafine, fa’atama, leiti & mahu - inclusive young adult kalapu dedicated to the practice of inu 'ava/kava/yaqona/sakau while forming networks of peer support engaging in cultural dance, song and protocol with each other. We have a place for all to thrive in healthy relationships and become a part of a network rooted in alofa-'ofa-loloma.

Kava Socials
Every first Friday at 8pm, we host a Kava Social here at our facilities to celebrate our kava/ava/yaqona drinking tradition, as we encourage a fraternity and sorrority rooted in love with our PNW Oceania Diaspora. Our Kava Socials is open to all genders. This is a partnership we foster with Kalapu Northwest, Kalapu Kolo Emalata & Miliona Kava.

Oceania Northwest acknowledges that we live and work on stolen Coast Salish land. We recognize the land stewardship of all Indigenous people since time immemorial and the disruption of this work by white colonization. We are aligned to efforts in supporting Indigenous sovereignty in the Pacific Northwest as we also fight for Indigenous sovereignty over our home, Oceania.
