Youth Engagement & Empowerment
Our Oceania Youth Collective comprises of Pacific Islander youth from our local high schools who come together to engage in leadership development, cultural identity formation, connect with Pacific Islander mentors, and create a peer-led network dedicated to learning Melanesian, Micronesian and Polynesian histories and cutlures. Through Oceania Youth Collective, young people can access case management to support them in accomplishing their employment, vocational and social cultural development goals.

Pasifika Youth Navigators
Oceania NW houses our Pasifika Youth Navigators internship program where we employ six Pasifika Youth Navigators who work together to promote environmental justice issues that impact the health and wellness of the wider Pasifika Diaspora. They do this through co-creating culturally rooted social media content to educate our wider community on environmental racism and also on local solutions that our community members can engage to change our lived environment for the better. They also work with Oceania NW to co-create and facilitate our Oceania Youth Collective.

Oceania Northwest acknowledges that we live and work on stolen Coast Salish land. We recognize the land stewardship of all Indigenous people since time immemorial and the disruption of this work by white occupation. We are aligned to efforts in supporting Indigenous sovereignty in the Pacific Northwest as we also fight for Indigenous sovereignty over our home, Oceania.
